Bernhard Bloch
Bernhard Bloch of Eichwald, Bohemia (now the town of Dubi, Czech Republic), was one of the top producers of gnome figures during the late 1800's. Their fine work is prized by collectors and still much sort after. The company was founded in 1871 and operated under the Bernhard Bloch name until 1940, when it became Eichwald Porcelain and Stove Factory Bloch & Co.
In 1945, the Company was nationalized and combined with other local pottery and porcelain makers to form the Duchov Porcelain Company.
Their pieces were signed with a BB and a model number.
