A smiling gnome made from solid plaster, approx.. 35 cm tall, weight approx. 1.3 kg -   1955 - 1960  Possibly made by a Spang, Baumbach, Westerwald,Germany. Glass eyes and bonded plastic flowers.

A very rare  model from the gnome department store, Red at the lake, Germany around 1998 - 2000 as a preliminary study on a line of gnomes as spice containers.  hand painted ceramic - inside is a glass container, the plastic cap is bonded in the dwarf head. The dwarf holds a green paprika in his hands. The container can be filled with Paprika powder etc.. Height approx.. 16 cm, weight approx.. 0.3 kg.

A merry small gnome - made of solid metal not  marked,  manufactured 1960's.   Made of solid metal poured, hand painted 17.5 cm tall, weight approx. 0.6 kg. Possibly made as a door stopper.

A rare gnome - the earlier Wiesbadener mayor Achim Exner Made by the dwarf department store, red at the lake 1992 for harlekin Wiesbaden Small limited addition. This is one of the first failure samples of the manufacturer dates 11.2.1992 hand painted and made in a hard gypsum. 18 cm high, weight  0.7 kg.  The shirt is an allusion on the coat of arms of Wiesbaden, which shows three lilies on blue background - here with three bananas. The figure is marked on the back (C) 1992 - Vth D BROEK - HARLEKIN.

Vintage chalk ware gnome.  Made of plaster, so if he's going in your garden try to keep him dry. He'd be better off indoors. Approx. 18 1/2" tall. Some wear consistent with age/use, and he needs a stick with a string for a fishing pole. But overall in good shape, as you can see.

Vintage gnome doorstop possibly made in Illinois in approx early 1900's.  Measures 10inches tall and has no mark. No other identification except the words "Pat. Pending" stamped on the back of his hat.

Vintage lying down gnome with pipe

A very rare garden dwarf possibly made around 1920 - 1930 in Graefenroda, Thuringia, Germany by the company Philipp Griebel (no mark). The vintage mould comes from 1900's  The painted ceramic gnome was sent in the fifties by the company owner at that time Willi Griebel to his brother Erich in Stuttgart, in order to use it for reproduction purposes. The figure was however never used . The dwarf is approx. 50.5 cm tall and is made in terracotta clay. (restored)

Heissner Gnome planter from West Germany .  The dimensions are 5" long x 4" deep x 3" wide.   The gnome stands 7 1/2 " tall.  It is holding a pipe in it's hands.  There are no cracks or chips in the planter.

Vintage garden gnome. It is approx. 37cm high and in it's original state. Made in ceramic  The gnome originally held something in his hand.

Vintage pottery/earthenware gnome. Possibly Victorian.  He stands 30cms tall.  Slightly weathered and is possibly missing his tools
