Gnome '504' Back to Philipp Griebel
A large earthernware gnome made out of the production moulds in Rot am See, Germany, by Erich Griebel in 2001, together with a picture from an original Erich Griebel catalogue, date unknown. The gnome is made of sturdy earthernware, about 22inches tall and weighs about 6½ lbs. It was hand painted in the old tradition and has been varnished for protection. The original gnome in the catalogue had an order no. 504 displayed.
